Arlington, VA
- The Northern Virginia Democratic Business
Council (NVDBC) today congratulated Creigh
Deeds, Jody Wagner and the Northern Virginia
Democratic Delegate candidates, Mark Keam, Kaye
Kory and Patrick Hope on their 2009 Democratic
Primary victories.
"These
candidates embody the hope of continued dynamic
leadership for our great Commonwealth," said
Jim Hock, President of the Northern Virginia
Democratic Business Council. "They
offer common-sense solutions to our state's
most pressing issues- the economy, healthcare,
education, transportation and the
environment-as well as a vision of greater
opportunity and prosperity for all
Virginians. The momentum of putting
Virginia on strong footing that was built by
Governors Tim Kaine and Mark Warner cannot be
lost.
We look forward to working with our
strong Democratic ticket -- Creigh Deed, Jody
Wagner and Steve Shannon -- and our Democratic
Delegate candidates to ensure that Virginia
continues to move forward. We also
congratulate Terry McAuliffe, Brian Moran and
Mike Signer for running strong campaigns that
embodied the best of the Virginia Democratic
Party.
We know that these talented individuals
will continue to provide great service to the
people of the Commonwealth for years to
come."
The Northern
Virginia Democratic Business Council (NVDBC)
provides opportunities for Democrats and
like-minded independents to meet and network
with other professionals as well as local,
state and federal elected officials and
candidates. Additionally, the NVDBC
brings speakers and programs-of-interest to the
Democratic business community. The
Council also contributes to a separate
Political Action Committee ("NVDBC
PAC") to support the election of
business-friendly Democratic candidates running
for the Senate of Virginia and House of
Delegates between the borders of western and
southern borders of Loudoun County and Prince
William County and the Potomac River. For
