The new year brings new allegations of
corruption in Congress and a campaigns for
"reform" by both parties. Months after
the City of New Orleans was devastated by two
hurricanes, Congress has yet to conduct any
significant inquiry into exactly why Bush
Administration failed to address this crisis or
exactly how we are going to get New Orleans
back on its feet. In the meantime, the
Administration continues to assert the right to
operate without any check on its powers.

Mr. Robinson was born in South Carolina, graduated of the University of Michigan, and has been an editor at the Washington Post since 1981. He covered the Washington, D.C. beat and Marion Barry, was the Post's South American correspondent in Argentina for four years and was elected to The Council on Foreign Relations. He was the editor for the Style Section from 1999 to 2004 and was promoted to Associate Editor effective January 1, 2005. He has published books focusing on race relations in Brazil and Changes in Cuba.
