The New Century
brings new geo-political challenges to U.S.
foreign policy. Now that the chase is on
for nuclear weapons throughout Asia, what does
the future hold.
* Will nuclear weapons bring peace to India and Pakistan?
* Has the Bush Administration's focus on Iraq caused us to focus on more significant developments?
* Who is the bigger bully on the block - India or China?
* Can we trust Kim Jong Il?
* Why is third-world nuclear proliferation a significant problem for the United States?
Mr. Korb is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, a Senior Advisor to the Center for Defense Information, and was previously a Senior Fellow and Director of Securities Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. He has written 20 books, more than 100 articles on national security issues, and has made more than 1,000 appearances as a commentator on television shows including the News Hour with Jim Lehrer, 60 Minutes, Nightline, Crossfire, and Face the Nation. His more than 100 op-ed articles have appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Bostom Globe, The Baltimore Sun, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Christian Science Monitor.
Mr. Ogden is the Program Coordinator for the International Rights and Responsibilities Project at the Center for American Progress. Among the issues he covers are conflict and genocide intervention, international development, transnational criminal networks, and post-conflict reconstruction. He also works on nuclear strategy issues. Prior to joining the Center for American Progress, he worked in the editorial department of Little, Brown & Co. in New York, taught in Boston and Tokyo, earned his master's degree from Princeton University (where he specialized in polical and urban writing) and graduated summa cum laude from Amhert College.
