What an election! Jim Webb pulled
it off after riding a Tuesday night roller
coaster of ups and downs and suffering through
a two-hour deficit before the Northern Virginia
absentee results reported.
While Jim Webb's win's was exilerating, the Democratic Party still failed to pick up even one additional congressional seat in the Commonwealth of Virginia notwithstanding several races which showed some promise.
Do you think you understand what happened? If so, you're ahead of the best analysts in the business. Come hear analysis from one of the top political analysts in the Commonwealth of Virginia - Dr. Mark J. Rozell.
He'll provide us with his answers to the following:
Why was Jim Webb's margin so small relative to the pre-election polls?
Why did Phil Kellam lose?
How did Andy Hurst reach 43.5% with $300K in the 11th while Judy Feder reached 40.9% with $1,000,000 in the 10th - are these districts winnable?
Did this race improve Tom Davis' 2008 Senatorial prospects?
Why did the Marshall-Newman Amendment slightly outpoll Jim Webb in some precincts and massively underperform Jim Webb in other precincts?
Does the Republican Party need to shift left to attract more voters or shift right to re-motivate their base?
How does this set the stage for the 2007 elections and is Virginia in play in 2008?
Come have breakfast, meet some Democrats, and get all of your questions answered!
