The Northern Virginia Democratic
Business Council is pleased to welcome back
Former Governor Mark R. Warner to speak at our
January meeting.
January brings the new year and a new legislative session in our great Commonwealth of Virginia. This year brings a reprise of last year's transportation debate, a push to control healthcare costs, and a push for universal preschool. Many questions remain unanswered.
Is there any hope for any new transportation funding or is the House Finance Committee hopelessly deadlocked?
Will any of Gov. Kaine's proposal receive favorable treatment or will the General Assembly bury it paritsan warfare?
How will the current session set up the environment for the November 2007 elections and what are our chances?
What are his predictions for the 2008 Presidential cycle, Sen. John Warner's plans, and . . . oh yeah . . . and what exactly are your plans, Governor?!?
The NVDBC looks forward to the Governor's insights on these and other questions. Please come, fraternize with other Democratic business people, and celebrate the new year.
