Jeff E. Schapiro is a Staff Writer and Columnist for The Richmond Times-Dispatch whose beat is the Virginia political scene. What are some of his recent stories?
Jeff Schapiro, a reporter and columnist for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, has covered Virginia government and politics for more than 25 years. Before joining The Times-Dispatch in 1987, he was on the statehouse beat for United Press International and Virginia Business magazine. Schapiro is an analyst for Central Virginia Public Radio and Virginia Currents, a news and public affairs program distributed statewide by WCVE-TV, Richmond. Schapiro is a correspondent for The Economist, the British news magazine, writing on Southern politics and culture. A native of New York City, he was graduated from Georgetown University with an A.B. in history.
