Please join us on Friday, November 6 for our monthly networking breakfast and a lively discussion about the results of the Virginia 2009 elections.  Our featured guest speaker this month will be Bob Gibson, Executive Director of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia and one of the finest experts on Virginia politics.  How did the Democratic ticket fare?  How did our candidates for the State House fare?  We’ll address these questions and more, as our event will take place just three days after election day!

Bob Gibson is a seasoned observer of Virginia politics and currently serves as the Executive Director of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.  For more than 30 years, Mr. Gibson has honed his insight into Virginia politics while working as a news editor and reporter for The Daily Progress, a political talk show host for WINA and WVTF radio and a guest contributor on WAMU’s Virginia Politics hour.  In recognition of his accomplishment, Mr. Gibson has won several Virginia Press Association awards, the 1993 Virginia Bar Association Award in the Field of Law and Justice and the 1993 Southern Journalism Award for investigative reporting.  Mr. Gibson holds a B.A. in government and foreign affairs from the University of Virginia.  For more information on the Sorenesen Institute visit http://www.sorenseninstitute.org/.
