Please join the NVDBC for our breakfast on Friday, October 10 to hear about Senator Obama's plans for the U.S. economy.  We'll hear from Obama surrogate Jason Bordoff, who is Policy Director of the Hamilton Project*, an economic policy initiative housed at The Brookings Institution committed to promoting more broadly shared prosperity.

The Hamilton Project was started in 2006 by former Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin and Lawrence Summers.  The Obama campaign's top economic policy expert, Jason Furman, also headed the Hamilton Project until recently.

Jason has written on a broad range of economic policy matters, particularly income security and inequality, tax policy and climate change. Jason is also a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the board of the Association of Marshall Scholars. He is a member of the New York and Washington D.C. Bar Associations.  He previously served as special assistant to Deputy Secretary Stuart E. Eizenstat at the U.S. Treasury Department, and worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Co. in New York. He graduated with honors from Harvard Law School, where he was treasurer and an editor of the Harvard Law Review, and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Healso holds an MLitt degree from Oxford University, where he studied as a Marshall Scholar, and a BA magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University.
